Oskar held a key. To what? He didn't know. But it compelled him to find out. For me, too often I forget that I hold the key. My key is much different than Oskars. My key is to everything in life! What is the key? It's my relationship with God.
2 Peter 1:3 & 4 says:
Jesus has the power of God, by which he has given us everything we need to live and to serve God. We have these things because we know him. Jesus called us by his glory and goodness.Through these he gave us the very great and precious promises. With these gifts you can share in God’s nature, and the world will not ruin you with its evil desires. (NCV)Becoming overwhelmed with life isn't hard. Remembering where we find the strength to do what is good and right can get lost in life's circumstances. But God is waiting to restore us and give us a renewed strength to do what is right.
My children need to see God's strength in me. They need to see me model a life that shows my passion to live for Him. That is a key to passing on my faith and preserving the next generation.
