Summer Update

We're nearly set to board the busses and head off to Kids Summer Camp at Windermere Conference Center.  Forty eight fourth, fifth, and sixth graders along with fifteen leaders are packing their bags for an incredible week.  Our goal is simple:  grow in our relationship with God and each other.


This year's theme is: SURVIVOR.  Our key verse is 1 Timothy 4:12 which says,

Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.

God equips us to survive and thrive in this life for the purpose of setting an example for others to follow.  That will be our challenge this camp week.  Please pray that God will move in our hearts and prepare us to live and be the examples He's made us to be.

Also, I'm super excited to announce the arrival of our new Children's Ministry Director, Alan Phillips.  Alan and his family are moving to Lee's Summit from Frisco, Tx. where he served in a similar role.  Alan is partnering with me and our children's ministry team to help children and families know the love of Christ and experience life to it's full.  Please take the opportunity to meet Alan and Rebecca and their three children this Sunday, July 8, after each service in the lower level, room 106.
